Major benefits with Centennial Software Flexible, Rapid Development Local, Remote and Internet Auditing Local Identification Hardware and Software Identification Asset Tracking Easy Administration Improved OS compatibility
Flexible, Rapid Development
Centennial Discovery 4.52 installs quickly on your server and the client agents can be deployed via login scripts, Windows NT services or through e-mail. This enables you to audit all of your PCs.
Local, Remote and Internet Auditing
Centennial Discovery audits PCs on your local LAN, across your WAN, through remote servers, and even across the Internet. By supporting the Internet Protocol (IP), you can audit remote PCs when they are connected to the internet via an Internet Service Provider. For networks not running IP, Centennial Discovery supports LAN protocols for auditing without user intervention.
Location Identification
Centennial Software's LANProbe finds the physical location of your network assets. LANProbe identifies the network cable that each device is attached to, enabling you to easily determine where the device physically resides - without leaving your desk. If the device moves to another location, the new location is automatically registered in the repository.
Hardware and Software Identification
Centennial Discovery provides you with a complete record of your network devices and PC hardware and software. You can quickly determine if your hardware is able to support a new software upgrade, or if individuals are running unsupported applications. You can also quickly determine whether your organisation is legally compliant with software licensing. Hardware identification includes details of the PC, such as memory, disk space, and attached devices, including modems and printers.
Asset Tracking
Centennial Discovery 4.52 tracks all installations, moves, additions and changes (IMAC) to the PC. Alerts can also be set up to notify you when specific changes occur to devices. System alerts can also be set to notify you when a new network device is registered, or should a device move to another location.
Easy Administration
From the control centre you can generate reports and queries, schedule audits, export data and more. Centennial Discovery 4.52 lets you control when audits should be performed, and from the Discovery Control Centre, you can quickly run one of the comprehensive reports supplied with Centennial Discovery.
Improved OS compatibility
Centennial Discovery 4.52 now supports Redhat Linux 7+, SuSE Linux 8+, Sun Solaris on SPARC 5.7+ and HP-UX on PA-RISC 11+ in addition to the range of Windows platforms it already supported.
